Charlotte Sullivan RVT
Hi, I am Charlotte, I graduated from Colby Community College with a Veterinary Tech degree in 1984. I started working with Dr. Sullivan in 1985, before Blair Doon existed,we were at Southeast Blvd. Animal Hosp, I remember moving all of the hospital to our present location, it was great! I married Blake Sullivan in 1986, no relation to Dr. Sullivan. We live on 5 acres outside of Mulvane, we have 3 kids, 2 daughters and a son. I, of course enjoy my 8 cats and 3 dogs. I also enjoy gardening, antiquing and family activities. I really love working with all my Blair Doon comrades, they are a wonderful group of people. When I am attending to the patients here I try to always think how I would like my own pets treated and try to treat your pets as compassionately as I can.
Christie Smith RVT
My name is Christie Smith, I have been an employee at Blair Doon Veterinary Hospital since 1997. I started out as a high school kennel kid and loved working with animals. I decided to pursue my veterinary technician degree. I graduated from Colby Community College with a Veterinary Technician Degree in 2005. I live in Rose Hill with my husband and my three children ( 2 daughters and 1 son). I have a boxer and a boxer/lab mix. I enjoy taking care of the animals I meet and getting to know the owners who love them.
Hi, I’m Chrystal Beck I started at Blair Doon in May 2016 as a veterinary assistant. I was at my last veterinary clinic from August 2005- May 2016, where I started in the boarding kennels and worked my way up. I graduated from dog grooming school in 2007, so in my “spare time” I groom dogs. My husband and I moved to Douglas and bought a home on 21 acres so that our 10 spoiled rotten house dogs ( 10 Australian Shepherds) and 6 cats could have more space. When I’m not working I enjoy competing in all kinds of dog sports; agility, obedience, rally, conformation, herding, dock diving, and a little bit of everything else. Our Aussies are health tested and overly socialized, so that we can continue a healthy lineage or versatile Razzmatazz Aussies.

Now I am working and getting the best training in order to care for your pets. I’m currently attending Colby Community College through their distance learning program to gain my veterinary technology degree. I adopted Blair Doon’s former grey clinic cat Bentley and he is fully enjoying his retirement.
I’m Barbara Ray. I’ve been at Blair Doon since 2003, working as a Receptionist and behind the scenes. My job allows me to meet the most incredible people and their furry friends and I love that! I am, by education, an RN – specializing in Cardiac. And, in case you can’t tell from my accent, I hail from Memphis, TN. After leaving Memphis, my family lived in Philadelphia, PA, for 3 years and Norman, OK, for 8 years before moving to the Wichita area in 2000 with our menagerie of horses, cats and dogs. My husband, Stuart, and I have 2 amazing adult children – Mallory and Bradley – who make my heart happy every day. In our spare time, Stuart and I like to volunteer our time. My biggest and most rewarding volunteer commitment is to the youth at the Wichita Children’s Home.
Hi, I’m Janet Benton-Moss. I have been with Blair Doon Veterinary since September 2008 as a receptionist. I have four dogs, three cats and 9 parrots. In my free time I enjoy spending time spoiling my grandchildren, dogs, cats, and parrots.
Hi, my name is Cara Sullivan. I graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2015 with a degree in Business Management. I started as a receptionist at Blair Doon in the summer of 2019. Before I started at Blair Doon, I volunteered at the Sedgwick County Zoo where I got to work up close with the animals in the Children’s Farm and the African Veldt. The zebras and Malaysian tapir were my favorite animals to work with! I currently live with my husband and our 3 cats, though I’ve cared for rats, gerbils, fish, turtles, snakes, and chickens. In my free time, I love to travel and explore everything the world has to offer!
